Why Apple Will Sell 10 Million iPhones
Promptly after Stevey J’s Macworld keynote in Jan 2007, a crap load of people were left both amazed and dissapointed by the announcements. The amazement of course came in the form of the iPhone, the disappointment, at least from what I could see (and to an extent, felt) was the claim that Jobs’ made. To quote Macworld:By setting the bar at 10 million iPhones sold by the end of 2008,...
Challenge to the Flash community : Quicktime is... →
There is a very clear reason as to why Flash crashes every browser everyday on a regular basis. The only reason flash is still around is because of embedded video. I’m definitely exaggerating my position on this issue, but Flash has problems and drawbacks, that much is unarguable.

Emacs Style Tabs in Textmate (Mac only)
A few weeks ago I found a way to add emacs style tabbing to Textmate. Just do the following: Start a new macro (apple+option+m) press: apple+option+[ Stop the Macro (apple+option+m) Save the macro (apple+ctrl+m) Assign Activation to “Key Equivalent” and click in the box and hit the Tab key. Now you have the awesome power of emacs in your favourite text editor!

For those who didn’t listen to part 1 (check out http://folk.muxtape.com). The artists here are definitely less known, which will make it that much more exciting to hear a goodie. enjoy!

Exclusive! Three-Hour Lost Season Finale Over Two... →
Thank the lord! For the uninformed this is really big news. Until this article showed up it was pretty much set in stone that because of the popularity of Grey’s Anatomy (and all the messy WGA bullshit) they were going to scrap the ritualistic 2 Hour Lost Season Finale, for a 1 hour one. So all is well. To reiterate we’re only going to be losing 2 hours of Lost this season because...

The Zen Bhuddist
What did the Zen Buddhist say to the hot dog vendor? “Make me one with everything”! The vendor makes the hot dog and hands it to the Buddhist, who, in turn, pays with a twenty. The vendor takes the bill and pockets it. The Buddhist looks at the vendor expectantly. The vendor shrugs and says, “If you want change, look within.” I love this story, it reminds me that we are,...

Interview: Socialthing! Founder Matt Galligan →
A really nice interview with Matt Galligan about his site Socialthing. I especially like what he said about the API… This is something that I’ve hoped to play with every since I got into the private beta! I have 5 more invites if anyone wants.
Cool or Not Cool
lovepuppy: When someone e-mails me, right after reading it, I respond. I know this makes it look like I am sitting around by my computer, but that’s actually the truth. I won’t lie about it. If I am at work, I am by my computer and if I am at home and not asleep, I am probably by my computer. Cool or Not Cool? I don’t think you should try to categorize it as either… Personally,...
Vimeo is to YouTube as Facebook is to MySpace…not in terms of closed versus open...

A plea to Facebook
kathlellen: Please, PLEASE stop suggesting that I add the guy I dated for a month in the 10th grade. I want to forget about that shit!! Amen sister. Personally I think they should have a big button that you can click, that says “I can find my own friends, spank you very much!”. I’d click it.
The LOST Script Style →
i always knew writers in hollywood were the “geeks” of their industry, but this just further exemplifies what I thought. Specifically that the high level of profanity is reminiscent of late night coding sessions… for us “geeks” in the technology industry.
Site redesign!
After a long period of having a really non-intuitive, backward, ugly colored site, I finally got off my buttocks and stayed up all night tweaking to make it feel and look boot-i-fool. I have a few features that I think are unique to my site:
Past/Future navigation for pages as well as posts.
Shuffle (got this from somewhere else, I tumbled about it a little bit ago).
The ability to reblog...

This is quite cool:
Papaya is a web server for Mac OS X dedicated to sharing your files with others. Sharing files is now incredibly quick and easy! It’s a matter of dragging files to Papaya’s dock icon, or the library list. The web address for downloading the file is copied automatically, ready for pasting into an e-mail or instant message.
